No.When I was in my late teens I was suicidal all the time, and deeply depressed.I had no family at all in this world.I felt I had nothing to live for and no focus in my life.I always lacked affection. At one point totally starved of affection I felt if someone gave me a hug I would break down completely.I had my children at 21 and 22.They give me all the love and affection I need and more.

No way!Maybe that is not right, but I don't think I could live without an affection. I'm like addicted to it:)I know that i might sound funny, but I enjoy when people like me, give compliments, understand me, and support me. I like when they can see through my soul and learn that I'm good person. But also when someone treats me bad, I know to be evil you know (for which I later regret).
P.S.I gave you a thumb up, 'cause I think this is a great question. Thanks for asking:)

sure I can live without it. I would be lonely but I don't need it to survive. if their were no other living things on this earth but me to get affection from I think I would go to a store and get a baby doll and pretend it was real and give it affection like a real baby so I don't go completely mad or kill myself from the loneliness. I wont recieve affection from a doll but giving affection can be good enough for me.

yes, I have lived for many years without very much affection, there have been many times when I longed to feel the touch of another human being.

no, every one needs hugs and cuddles not only when you are feeling down and need comfort, but giving your children a hug just because you love them helps them to grow and feel secure that they are loved. Affection is not just hugs either it's a little pat on the arm or a ruffle of the hair just to let them know you care. Hugging just makes you feel wonderful

Yes and no. I get all the affection I need from my kids, but I don't get too much affection (currently) from my bf. He has trouble being affectionate at times.

hell, no! it's impossible! i tried one day to ignore all the people around me... and guess what that left me? i was completely ignored and i just felt lonely. everyone needs some one to hold them... through thick and thin. it even brightens up my day when even a stranger smiles at me in school.
it just goes to show that god created human beings differently, apart from animals... and that is to express ourselves to the world and not some kind of untamed, heartless, cold beast.

Oh heavens no! I need hugs everyday, or just a warm smile, even from a stranger. No man is an island.
