I have known many teens who have been, sort of, bisexual for a few years then settled into a life style that best suited them-either GLB or even transexual. They were testing the waters and getting the best of both worlds so to speak.
I, personality, see nothing wrong in this for it gives a better understanding of self and other life styles. These teens that I know are more secure in their sexual needs and relationships and more accepting of others.
As to being a passing phase-No, I would not put it that way-they are exploring their own sexuality and body needs.

No idea, I never ever had any sexual feelings for another male, however it is easy for manipulative Homosexuals to pervert impressionable teenagers into believeing Bi sexuality is the norm whereas it is most certainly not.
Of course as it is vastly easier for a teenager to indulge in homosexual action than heterosexual there is the tendency to make do with eating porridge believeing it to be nectar than to sek out the true nectar that is Fosters, I mean a good woman , had and analogy failure there , sorry folks, Backside is an exit , No entry, front bottom is 2 way.

I've known I was bisexual since I was 12 years old. There's no sign of the 'phase' passing...

For me it definitely wasn't a phase (unless more than a decade still counts as a phase these days) but for some it is; some are just experimenting and oddest of all some do it because they think it's cool (cool? Try living it and facing abuse from all sides, not so cool then, eh?).

I believe it is. Puberty changes the body and can make the mind confused. Read a good book on the subject or link onto the internet for more information. Without the proper guidance, some teens will remain confused for the rest of their lives.

Yes it's just a craving for sex , once the mystery is gone and the opportunity for a relationship arrives most will put the past behind them , though it seems obvious that some will find themselves a same sex relationship and might continue along their chosen path .
I believe that if such a survey was done , then most homosexuals would be proven to marry or settle with the opposite sex anyway .

I think for some they might just be bi-curious and actually straight, or some might end up being gay and are coming to terms with it. A few might claim it because they think it's trendy. However, there are many very real bisexuals out there. It's just that everyone finds out who they are at their own pace.
