I have a Worcester (BOSCH) Combi boiler and when I top up the system pressure using fill valve the gauge doesn't move straight away but will have gone up to 2bar about 4 hrs later. Shouldn't this be instant ? What could be wrong ? The gauge reads 0 after about 4 weeks and I have to refill again.

I am quite sure you have air in the (heating) system.
It would explain the delayed reading of your pressure gauge, because - as you refill - the air just gets compressed, without actually increasing the water pressure.
Try to "bleed" ALL your radiators, and then refill again.

Possible air in the system or faulty gauge.

sounds like an air-lock or vacuum block
