Yes, I do for clothes.

Reason: Not only are they really cheap but it's a sure way not to bump with anyone who's wearing the same thing as you are.

In fact, most of the tops and jackets I bought from thrift shops are what people might call vintage. Not only are they great finds but with mixing and matching NOBODY would ever guessed where I got them. People would always compliment me thinking I was buying them from high-end shops, although I do buy from them as well...lol...

And some books too.

Just like the other person above, I just went in there last week to look for something for Halloween and I was really surprised at how organized the place was. The clothes were all color coded and on the racks, nicer than Marshall Fields!!It smells like someones basement though and if I do buy any clothes I have to wash them like 5 times to get a good smell to them. I may go back-it was fun to look at everyones castoffs.

On occasion I do.
I buy long-sleeve mens shirts there.
Ones I can wear to do the gardening and painting in.
My Mother is the world's best thrift-shop hunter.
She picks up amazing bargains there.

all the time-(just cause someone refuses to go there, all they're doing is "loosing money!") If I see clothes I like & want that look like "new", I'll buy them-along with other stuff.

Yes, there are all sort of good stuff there. For example, office supplies like staplers, office machines, which are still in very good condition.

You can find the craziest clothes. I also find furniture that I clean and paint. They are always one of a kind pieces.
