I have never experience such Christian hatred expressed before by any political party. Almost every time a Democrat post they have issues with Christianity and say that Bush’s policies are based on Christianity.
Although this is a Christian nation by a wide percentage, the personal attack on Bush’s own Christian beliefs has me perplexed.
Carter was probably much more religious than Bush and so was JFK. Do you think they fear Muslims and are distancing themselves from Christians?
It doesn’t make sense to me. I know that many Christians have left the Democratic Party and almost all atheists are Democrats so there has been a shift, but is it really that extreme?
Democrats tend to think that Bush represents a Christian leader instead of a President. Why they got their thinking so screwed up is anyone's guess. Many of them see this war as Christians attacking Muslims and in their mind has nothing to do with terrorism. I even hear them comparing it with the crusades.

Amazing... we even have one poster bring up the crusades. He doesn’t know anyone that was in the crusades. His father doesn’t know anyone in the crusades. Nor his grandfather, or his father, or his father, or his father, or his father, etc.
Do these flakes have the slightest concept of reality? Should we warn people that they should not bring their horses and camels to work or start a campfires in their cubical? I’d say let’s don’t worry about the crusades unless Bush captures a bunch of slaves and has them start building him a pyramid.

Oh yes I will paint Democrats with such a broad brush!
I don’t adopt your “politically correct” smokescreen that there are exceptions, therefore you must never state the obvious.
If you can’t figure that out, what you are saying is, there are some people in prison that are innocent; there are some Christians in Muslim countries; and there are some that like peanut butter and sardines on toast.
It is so obvious that Democrats on the Internet are Christian bashers, to deny it is simply political propaganda. If you’re a Christian that wants to stay in that Party then fine, but don’t lie about it to protect those in the Party that attacks Christians.

In the past the Democrats basically was an umbrella for every so called disenfranchised group in the U.S. Gay groups, woman libs, civil rights, environmental, atheist 'r us, union groups, socialist, etc... Basically any group that wasn't represented by the Republicans. Since the majority of those groups don't agree with the Christian believes and philosophies they opposed any openly Christian politician.
However, some Democrats have figured out that it isn't going to work. Christian demographic is much larger and much bigger despite attempts to limit their "power". So the Democrats have finally started reaching out a bit.

I think the partisan politics have hit a new low. What the Democrats are experiencing is the takeover of their party by the radicals and the extremists. There are indeed many Christian Dems but they have been relegated to the back of the bus. Only the groups with the big money and radical agendas have the ear of the Democratic leadership. They are only now waking up to the fact that advertising money won't override the common sense of the middle class moderate voter. After this election, watch the Dems start shedding the voices of the radical left. Their leadership will begin to change too. Anybody associated with the overbearing agendas foisted upon the mainstream voters will either be moved down the ladder of political power or will drop off the radar screen altogether. Moderate voice will come to the fore again and we will once again have choices of moderates in each party. I might even expect the Dems to go far right to correct their image of the loopy left. I don't expect them to become overnight conservatives, but overcompensation seems to be the way of political swings. It would be nice to not have to argue with nonsensical conspiracy theory paranoia like skull and bones associates rule the world and elections are all rigged and Christians are as bad as radical Muslims.
Unfortunately, I don't think this will happen in time to prevent this struggle against world wide terrorism from becoming WW III. Had we taken a unified stance and attacked radical Islam with hard and fast and lasting purpose, the radical element of Islam could have been taken down to a level that moderate Islam could have gotten a controlling hold on them. Russia and China are breathing warnings to us about over reaction while little rogue nut leaders are acquiring nuclear capabilities. Being as divided as we've been over the last five years has made our leadership have to be too cautious when debating and bristling over these looming world threats.

I feel your pain. (it pains me to use a phrase from Clinton). But I do understand your position. If we were to remove the Unions from the Democratic list of supporters, there would only be a small fraction of Christian Democrats. In Chicago for example, a huge Catholic city, many Catholics are union workers. And unfortunately, many of them vote Democratic, because of their life-long union affiliation. I know this because I lived it. The 'new' Democratic Party has gone off the deep end, and not every Christian has recognized that.
Conversely, the Republican Party does not attract many non-Christians. It would be ludricrous to expect many Atheists to vote Republican, simply because it's nearly a contradiction of beliefs.
Our country was founded on Christian values. And those values are being hotly contested by the liberal front. Some people just haven't gotten that yet.
You should see how much a Christian gets accused of being a Republican on the 'Religion and Spirituality' site.
Signed, A Christian Republican.

You are talking about the "far left" within the Democratic party. These are socialists, secular progressives who do not believe in religion and certainly not in any shape or form in government. Christians are singled out because of the Christian Coalition leg by Jerry Falwell and others in the 1970's when Ronald Reagan was asleep at the wheel and let these "far right" people gain power within the government in terms of their ability to influence politicians. Therefore, Democrats equate christians with Republicans and you know the Dems do not like the Reps.
Democrats will cozy up with any group if they see that to fail to do so means losing their cushy job with all those perks. Currently in the U.S. the Special Interest of the Bush administration are the Illegal Aliens, led by strident, illogical and criminally negligent Activists - Latino to be specific. Talk about not making sense: Illegals get favored treatment in the U.S. by authorities. Their "rights" are fiercely protected. Twenty million so far. Twenty million indigenous people, little if any education and often illiterate, the Bush administration bends over backwards to assist these laborers. The impossible has become possible now.
Dems do not fear Muslims. Why should anyone except the Brits and the French? See what multiculturalism got them. Religion is of no concern within the actual workings of government. But any elected official who does not profess to be "religious" will lose his or her job. Plainspeaking and direct, forthright statements are a thing of the past. We have replaced it with PC so that we never know what anyone stands for. I blame multiculturalism at every turn.

They are not the only ones so does the White House. What is worse they manipulate them, while insulting them behind their back.
Conservatives in the media have attacked Rosie O'Donnell for comments she has made regarding Christianity and Catholicism, and several have even called for O'Donnell to be fired. But those same conservatives have yet to comment on disclosures in a newly released book that the Bush White House has pandered to Christian conservatives for votes, while breaking promises on policy and referring to them as "the nuts," "insane," and "ridiculous" behind closed doors.
On Pages 229-230, Kuo detailed the White House's private attitudes toward the Christian right:
What they didn't get to see was what the White House thought of them. For most of the rest of the White House staff, evangelical leaders were people to be tolerated, not people who were truly welcomed. No group was more eye-rolling about Christians than the political affairs shop. They knew "the nuts" were politically invaluable, but that was the extent of their usefulness. Sadly, the political affairs folks complained most often and most loudly about how boorish many politically involved Christians were. They didn't see much of the love of Jesus in their lives.
Political affairs was hardly alone. There wasn't a week that went by that I didn't hear someone in the middle- to senior-levels making some comment or another about how annoying the Christians were or how tiresome they were, or how "handling" them took so much time.
National Christian leaders received hugs and smiles in person and then were dismissed behind their backs and described as "ridiculous," out of control," and just plain "goofy." The leaders spent much time lauding the president, but they were never shrewd enough to do what Billy Graham had done three decades before, to wonder whether they were being used. They were.

I don't think most Democrats hate Christians, in fact I believe most are Christians themselves. This thought line is mostly mouthed by extreme Liberals that want a totally secular society without any form of religion. Socialism for the most part. They take the separation of Church and state to mean there should be no church at all. That is not the intent of the founding fathers as they like to claim. They only wanted to make sure that the Government did not control or set the religion.
"Our Constitution was made only for a religious and moral people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other."

People need to get educated on the history of it all.. These above were just few of the things muslim terrorists have done to the USA.. yet dems... don't care.. that is the Biggest Atrocity of all.

Since you mention the Crusades, that's a good place to start. Wasn't that where the Christians were killing Muslims in God's name? Bush's policies are not based on Christianity and a person would have to be a fool to think that. I think the attacks are warranted, he doesn't act very Christian-like, he has no regard for the law or the constitution. As to your atheist remark. Are you saying there are no atheist Republicans? Plus, isn't that a speculative judgment on your part? Lastly, if any Christian leader thinks Mr. Bush represents them...well, I guess he's fooled them along with many millions of Americans.

nicely, i'm certainly a Christian and a Democrat however the flaws you correlate right here, for me a minimum of, submit to no relation to one yet another. i'm no longer a Democrat because of the fact i'm Christian and neither am I a Christian because of the fact i'm a Democrat. to boot which, IF "compassionate courses" reward undesirable habit then there are a heap of church homes doing undesirable artwork interior the call of the Lord.

If Dems hate Christians, and as you say the majority of the population is Christian, then it only seems logical that the Republicans should win all elections....but they don't...Why?
Because not all Christians think like you, they are not totally guided by their faith, they look at the big picture...what is best for the USA.
