ok .. i am 19 and just found out im 7 weeks pregnant 4 days ago .. BEFORE i found out i was pregnant .. i was smoking, had the occasional drinks, and did harmful things while pregnant like paint my room, lift very heavy objects, and run around. A week ago .. i started to spot for like one minute but didnt think anything of it ( i didnt knw i was pregnant) this week .. i spotted for 2 days .. then the next 2 days after the spotting i started to have heavy bleeding like a period and even bleeded out a big chunk of blood/meat/tissue thing ..and the next day after that i started to spot again.. i also forgot to mention the off again on again cramps, sharp pains, and vomiting. i ofcourse went to the doctors worrying that it was a miscarriage but wont be able to find out til monday! did any of you experienced this and continued having a healthy pregnancy and baby or is it a positive miscarriage? is this normal?? please help!! im worried .. this is also my first pregnancy.

I had 5 days of spotting and a loss of a "piece of tissue" also in pregnancy at about 7 weeks. Yes, I did go on to full 40 weeks and have a normal happy and healthy baby (now child).
I did not have any cramps with the bleeding - I do think this may be a more serious symptom.
Anyway - I have my fingers crossed for you - all you can do now is take it easy and wait it out.
good luck!

I am now 36 weeks pregnant. I have been spotting and bleeding my entire pregnancy. I freaked out the 1st few times, I sometimes have cramps too. When I talk to my doctor about it he monitors the baby for awhile and does a sonogram. So far everything is OK... he said that sometimes women do spot and even have full periods during their pregnancy. What is normal for you and this pregnancy might not be normal for the next person or even your next pregnancy.

I would go to the hospital and not wait til Monday! Just so you know every thing is OK!!

Agree with lisa, go to the ER and get checked out, the smoking and occasional drinks alone won't usually cause a miscarriage but the paint and lifting combigned probably wasn't good. Hopefully your okay, sorry if you did lose it. Keep your chin up.

Sorry honey but this is not normal and it does sound as if you had a miscarriage. I don't understand why they cant tell you now hell all they have to do it check you and do a vaginal sonogram. You really need to go to the E.R and get yourself check out because if it was a miscarriage and you don't get a D&C done it could cause infection to set in. Please go to the E.R and get yourself checked out.
