I'm exploring options of how to move to Utah to be with my boyfriend (options outside of marriage) I have a 3yr Bachelor's degree in Music and am considering going to school - but it's just so darned expensive! Since I don't have an exact profession like nursing or something it's hard for me to get a specific work visa. I figure this is a shot in the dark, but it can't hurt!

consider going for a student visa. That would allow you to see if you like living in the U.S., as well as allowing you to get an education. Different schools, colleges and universities have different priced, so check out all the schools in the area you will be living. Community colleges and tech schools have the lowest cost, and offer programs like nursing, paralegals, radiology, dental assistant, computer, graphics and other 2 year programs. Some credits may also transfer to other colleges if you need to tranfer later.

Be prepared for a lot of paperwork and waiting a long time. Our neighbor is going through this right now. They're even married and she still has to go back to Canada every so often so as not to violate the process. I think she's been working on this for over a year. All I can say is ask tons of questions and read ALL the fine print.

quite see the solar? notwithstanding gave you that theory? till now you confirm to immigrate to an section you for sure not often comprehend something about, attempt doing some study on Canada. existence in Canada is largely very very reminiscent of existence contained in the U. S., except that some parts of Canada are less warm in iciness than some parts of the U. S. and in a lot of situations particularly a lot less warm in summer season than some parts of the U. S.. We pressure an same automobiles, stay interior an same type of homes, use an same type of relations abode equipment, purchase nutrients in supermarkets, and my effect is that Canadian education is more effective, typically, to what maximum individuals get.

I would not recommend moving to Utah... that would be like moving straight to Hell for me anyway. Repressed, awful weather, Mormons everywhere and Canada is just a better place to live than here... Make your boyfriend move to Canada... why are you moving to where he is?

You are leaving the land of cheap universities, free health care and social tolerance to move to a country where your bankroll means everything, and it won't easily let you work legally. Moreover, you are moving to one of the most repressive regions of the country.

I'd rethink your plan. Seriously.

we have enough musicians in this country, stay out unless you get your 4 year degree. Otherwise we don't need you, and you better pay taxes if you get here, if not I'll be after you.
