Well,

When you are speaking infront of a crowd, look at them every now and then. Don't keep your head buryied in your notes.
This allowas you to show that waht you are saying relates to them.
Picture them in funny outfits. This will make you smile as you read and the audience will think you are really enjoying their company.
Relate to your own experiences as much as possible. This shows your audience that what you are talking about can affect everyone including yourself
And last but not least, try to make it light. Maybe a joke everynow and then.

You know what it's like when you are in the audience and the speaker is boring, cold and humour less
