You'll have to switch to a(nother) broadband plan. Ask you current Internet Service Provider (ISP) if they provide faster connection, and ask several other ISPs. Do a cross check on bandwidth they offered, latency time, price, limits, etc and see which ones fits with your pocket and needs the most. Basically, you can't get more without paying more, and even if you've paid more, if the video site is in peak, you mightn't even get any better speed.

OK. There ARE free solutions. Although you'll have to sacrifice a bit. And you can never improve speed faster than your designated bandwidth and hardware specification.

You can improve speeds a bit by using a Web Accelerator program like Google Web Accelerator (http://webaccelerator.google.com/ ). Some ISPs provide Web Accelerator solutions, free or paid. If your ISP provide it, you might need to consider using your ISP's instead. Web Accelerating is typically uses data compression, prefetching, caching, etc to provide an increase in apparent speed of your bandwidth.

Also DON'T download anything in the background while watching. Downloading in the background (this might include browsing, although browsing won't have much effect unless you're loading multitude of pages at the same time).

And a tips that always works, and improve your enjoyment a lot is by prefetching what you want to see. You'll just open the video site, let it download the video till it finish and watch it after the video finish downloading.
Tips: While you're watching the current video, you can use the idle bandwidth to download other videos or do a download. If you don't have any plan to continue watching and have no intention to download anything, you can turn off your Internet connection (especially if you use dialup).

Well first if you are asking for more kbps then i am guessing that you are still using dial up. So to get a better streaming of videos you need DSL or Cable connection. If you are not in an area that offers either of these types of service provider then you can get something like DirectTV which offers fast connections via satellite feeds. This will get you way more than kbps and into Mbps.
Next after you do this you can upgrade your computer with a better processor and Ram. Hope this helps out.

Get a fatter pipe. In layman's terms, call your ISP and see if they have faster connection packages.
