Pregnancy doesn't actually go by MONTH...it is by the week, if you were going by MONTH then at the end of 40 weeks (full term) you would be TEN months pregnant. So you're in your eighth week...period.

u start counting from the first day of the last period that u had (not the first period that u missed), even tho u actually only fall pregnant about 2 weeks later.
anyway, 1 month = 4.4 weeks (not 4 weeks, that's only Feb in a non leap yr), so 8 weeks = 1.8 months (almost 2 months), or 1 month 25 days.

You are at the end of your second month...Im 8 weeks 1 day today and my doctor said that at 9 weeks you start your 3rd month...Even though it is calculated by weeks not months.

Understand this carefully
the time of pregnancy starts the day you started your last periods. If the periods started on say 6th and ended on 12th, start counting from 6th.
Here you can calculate it in weeks or months.

most women fall pregnant two week BEFORE their next period would be due - not two weeks after the last one. So count from there and you will have some idea.
There never is accurate prediction though
