I agree,

I thought the first series was incredible and original but now all the characters are the same, extremely predictable in what will happen so you might as well watch the repeats.

It's something that happens time and time again sketch shows where particular characters become popular with the public, the artist feels compelled to do them over and over again without things moving on.

I know it's not an exact comparison but look at Only Fools and Horses, a comedy series that progessed, it developed and moved on with the characters.

Catherine Tate is talented women but this series has a shelf life that ran out a year ago.

It does seem that once she gets hold of an idea she just won't let go, doesn't it! Most things she's done were very funny the first, second and even possibly the third time, but after that, it all gets a bit boring. There's a limit to how many times you can get away with saying "Do I look bothered" in three series, and now the new series has started, in the first show, we got a new one - "I can do that" which was quite funny to start with, but I'm dreading getting round to watching last nights' edition (taped of course) for I fear that the "I can do that" will be milked to death, all of which makes her starting to get unfunny. The only sketch I'd like to see her do again is the "Old Gran" one - 'ferkin liberty'.

I think some of her characters are funny and others aren't. The gran, the "How Very Dare You" Derek bloke and Lauren the schoolgirl are brilliant and that new woman who agrees to help people out and then does it really badly, like the translations, is really good too. The ones who aren't as good are often the ones who are closer to her real age like that woman at the party in first or second series. I'm not too keen on the horrible Irish nurse either but I think that's more to do with the character rather than Catherine's talent!

Catherine Tate is utterly, incredibly, chronically, majorly, absolutely, completely so unfunny!!!!! Literal banal rubbish! I have watched her show a couple of times to 'give the show a chance' and to get to know the characters. However, I cannot see the comedy in it at all. Doesnt even raise a smile!!!!

The first series was innovative and funny. This series has little flashes of genius but on the whole is quite repetitive. Then you find that with most comedy series - Little Britain is another one. They should stick to the saying, 'Always leave the crowd wanting more' and quit after a number of shows, like Fawlty Towers. That was funny and has become funnier over time because there were so few made.

I thought she was quite funny at the beginning and in herself she is a good comedienne, but now her shows have become repetitive and drab. There are only so many times you can hear "Am I bovered?" It's even more irritating when you hear kids on the street saying it all the time too.

thank you!!! It is the most monotonous piece of crap I have ever seen!! how many times can ya laugh at Am I bovered though?? Shite!! And as for the granny! We all know exactly what she is going to say next!! I just cant understand how people find this programme funny, they must have very short attention spans not to realise they are watching the same thing again and again!!Having said that my dad is included in that !!

The initial idea was funny, some of her characters, but unfortunately like many comics that become popular, the script that goes with it becomes less funny as they only have to go through their routine to get airtime.
