When you leave a lot of details under your question, why do people bother answering that the question was too long for them to read?

Well :pay no attention to them:they have no concentration enough to read all,and they are just looking to give small answers:in order to get those stupid two points they get.Even if they only type:yes ,no,nope, yeah, maybe, never.Etc:so just ignore it like I ignore those random violation notices they hand out,for no obvious reasons.
Have a nice don't bother day.

Because they get 2 free points out of it. If a question looks too long I just go back and find another. No point making someone feel bad for the sake of a couple of points, is there?

because a lot of people answer a lot of questions ,because they are answerer's,

and if there is too much detail often the question is lost in the dialog ,and some people don't have the patience to sort through the meanings
and people who question ,tend to be asking a lot of questions ,Make the questions straight forward ,and explicit ,if possible ,spelled correctly, lots of detail takes time and can confuse people ,who are in a hurry to answer their goal for the day

To get 2 poiints, why else?
And it might be to make note to questioner that (s)he should post shorter questions.
