French fries are a fried vegetable, just like fried zucchini. Just because you fry something doesn't change what it is but it can affect it's nutritional value. Fried mozzarella sticks are still a dairy product but I don't think that you would consider it a healthy portion of a dairy product.

French fries are French vegetables and tempura are Japanese vegetables. North Americans have a special vegetable too it's called ketchup.
Just kidding, I know French fries aren't French...

French fries are fried vegetables ,ketchup is actually fruit sauce.A tomatoe is a fruit,not a vegetable like one person said.
