You've already been given many links covering acronyms but an intersting one is TWAIN. This is to do with scanners etc. The acronym stands for "Technology Without An nteresting Name".
I thought that was clever.

I'd be really surprised if you didn't find the acronym answers you need on Acronym Finder (www.acronymfinder.com). If you search then click the "Information Technology" tab on your results page, you will see only the results in that category.

I understand how confusing it can be!!
Abbreviations are now so common place that the term "Three Letter Acronym" used to describe this has been shorted to TLA!!
The link below is a pretty comprehensive listing of TLA's and what they mean but make sure you have a few months to spare before looking through!! ;)
