students criticising teachers will only work if the student has had a good enough teacher at some stage to teach them discrimination and tact and the ability to analyse in an unbiased way - something to consider for your presentation notes

Students should not be allowed to judge teachers as they only decide if they like or dislike someone. Many ineffective teachers will get high scores and the poor souls that really care and really teach will be branded as slave-drivers or worse. Teaching today is more of a baby-sitting task where the teachers have to tolerate many things. One teacher in my son's high school brought the newspaper to school and allowed kids to watch MTV and he was the favorite man at school. One teacher I used to hate was a French teacher, a wicked old battle-axe, but I learned more from her than any other teacher. So are we going to play popularity games or are we going to try to teach the kids something?

Any class I have taken for my job has given me the opportunity to evaluate my instructor. It does help the instructor to improve their performance/class material when given honest critiquement.
Unfortunately, most people use this as a chance to bash the teacher for poor grades or imagined slights. Today's society is a whiney bunch!

the college i go to about the middle of the semester someone from the office comesw around and gives each student in th4e classroom a survey and then they tell us to write any concerns qustions or remarks on the sheet also. yes it is a good idea because then maybe the teacher will change her teaching habits if need be and it keeps and open mind. after all we are paying for our education i think we should have an opinion about it.
