My gardeinas leaves are yellowing and the plant has not produced flowers for over a year. What do I need to add to the soil to prevent the yellow leaves and make it produce flowers? The plant itself is approx 2 foot tall.

Sorry! Should have said I'm from Australia! Its spring/summer here so they shouldn't be yellow.

I"m from Queensland Australia and we had the same problem last year no flowers and leaves yellowing. I put a packet of Epsom Salts in a watering can and gave the bush a good soak. Then some weeks later followed up with a watering can of water and Seasol. It worked and now I have fat buds all over the bush.
Good luck

With my gardeina plant the leaves turn yellow and fall off then produce new leaves in its place. I also epsom salt. Here is a great website that might be able to provide you with some assistance.

Natural to have yellow leaves in the fall. The no flowers, hmmm. They set new buds for blooms after they flower, if you pruned it with buds setting could be why no flowers.

fertilize with Epsom salts. cheap, they love it. you can add coperas (rusty nails in soil around drip line are an alternative.) good luck
