Rich Dad, Poor Dad. It makes sense. If you were born to a rich dad, you have his ideals and visa versa. The only way out of this is education. But you could even give the education ticket a grade. Like say, 65% of educated people are successful. Monitary value and a persons portfolio doesn't mean he'she is a successful person. When I was younger, I swung a hammer for a living. I didn't make much money at it, but I loved the work and I considered myself successful while I was doing it. I later joined the service and got gratification at saving the lives of aircrew (I worked on ejection systems). Now that I'm in my 'morality' phase in life (past 30), I'm getting complete life fullfillment of being able to help my disabled parents and my brother and sister with their needs. My parents raised me and I just love having the company of my siblings. So you can see now that success is how you define it. You could go rob little ol ladies for a living but how are you going to feel when the love of your life steps into the equation while your robbing folks and he/she asks you, "what do you do for a living?"

I think its 99% chance as in where I was born determined my education initial attitude etc,my genes made me prone to certain types of behaviour. Then I ended up sticking to the same line of work because I like it and am stubborn but it turned out like stock market previously my line of work was a lowly thing now it is becoming hot.
However I do read a lot of books on business management and the like but gave up self improvement books since fortunately I discovered Swami Chinmayanandas books at Chinmaya mission. If I have to attribute what little success I have had to one major cause other than my upbringing and luck then that would be the works of Swami Chinmayananda.

There are four factors to which I can attribute my success.

1. An insatiable desire to learn.
2. Willingness to acknowledge my mistakes.
3. Creative thinking, which Edward de Bono calls "lateral thinking".
4. Sheer hard work.

Now I spend long hours reading, writing and repairing/upgrading my computers.

I find it most rewarding when I can answer questions friends ask over the phone.

I mentioned "lateral thinking" because many years back I attended one of Edward de Bono's seminars and answered one of his questions correctly.

It came so spontaneously. I wasn't even aware that it took the British air force six months to resolve this problem during the Second World War.

once u become successful then 0nly u will be able to know the reason.
whoever is not also has same reasons but didn't get success, i don't know why?
