Yes, it is normal to feel awkward and want to leave and it hurts. However, I would encourage you not to act out your desire to shrink into the wall paper. Doing your best to stay cheerful is commendable. Get out of introspection by joining in the conversation and exercise to include everyone in the group knowing yourself how it feels to be left-out.

Feeling good about yourself, being confident, is the most important thing. True beauty comes from within. As people get to know others, it's the ones who are confident, kind, thoughtful of others, etc., and good listeners that become the ones who are truly admired. I once felt that everyone else got all the admiring attention until I realized how insecure I was in myself -- that I had no confidence in myself. Just know that you are a special creation of God and be yourself. We're all different. What a boring world this would be if we were all alike. You're beautiful!

Don't show that awkwardness. Dress up, keep your hair done, hold your head up and show some confidence. Join in the convo's, tell a funny joke and people will recognize you for being a cool person, not just going by your looks.

please dont think about other peoples opinions. if they are not admiring you and the person who ha scome wid u then they dont know wad they r losing out on. you should make yourself understand that u are beautifull. you have 2 be happy and confident 2 look beautiful and for god sake the blush-on wont help much. remain happy. your beautifull.

make more of an effort to get recognised, go somewhere new maybe with a different friend where people will notice both of you, make your own circle of friends away from your normal ones, maybe on the internet, people that dont talk to your normal friends.

keep smiling..exude confidence..they may not notice at first but you'll catch some eyes.. keep your chin up, shoulders back, a smile on your face and twinkle in your eye. its fail proof.. Just remember the reason they are being admired..its all looks.. but looks fade.. good luck sweetheart.
