How can Israel continue to deliberately kill unarmed women and children in Gaza?

Israel has just opened fire on a group of women walking to a Mosque in Gaza, killing at least one. Israel also killed a 4 year old boy overnight. Palestinian children being killed by Israeli snipers is almost a daily occurrence.

Since 2000, Israel has killed over 5 Palestinians for ever Israeli killed. 8 times more Palestinian children have died, Israel has 9599 prisoners compared to just one Israeli held in Palestine and over 4000 Palestinian homes have been destroyed, but 0 Israeli homes.

Many people believe that Israel deliberately target civilians and use banned weapons, such as EMF weapons & cluster bombs. What are your views?

Is Israel getting away with killing women & children without international condemnation? If so why? Is it American protection, a failure of the international community or just a fact of this bloody war?

Do you think Israeli actions constitute terrorism or a fierce, but justified act of preventative warfare?

Simon m - The Palestinians have no reliable power station or communications capability, so I'm not sure what Radio station called for women & children to surround the Mosque.

From what I've seen on the BBC, around 20 women were walking down a street, had tear gas fired at them and were then gunned down. 2 are now dead, 10 are injured. There were no men anywhere near them.

Besides - there is no excuse for killing women & children, whether Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Black, White, Yellow, Red or whatever. If they were used as human shields, then the Palestinian militia are pathetic cowards. But Israel should be professional & keep the moral high ground - even if that means letting an enemy go free.

It looks like terrorism to me the thing i can`t understand is why is it terrorism if you strap a bomb to your self and kill innocent people but if you drop a bomb from a plane and kill even more innocent people then its not. Surely no killing of innocent people can be justified and in my opinion any one who kills another person be that person Innocent or not is a murderer and the ones who order the killing of thousands are monsters and no better than Hitler

I don't agree with everything Israel does, but come on people, that is their land! They were there first until 135 AD when they were expelled by the Romans. Now they're back. They could have expelled the Palestinians from the land in general, but chose not to. In fact, they wanted to live side by side with the Palestinians, but the Palestinians refused. All the Palestinians want is to drive the Jews into the sea. We all look at the Palestinians as being victims, but what about the Israelis? They deal everyday with the reality of possibly being blown up just
riding a bus. Palestinian tactics haven't been that clean either.
In reality, there is no such thing as a Palestinian. They didn't even call themselves Palestinians until Israel was born, and the other Muslim nations decided to use the "Palestinians" as a political ploy to get "their" land back. It's all about religion. Islam says that if any land is conquered by Muslims, then it must remain in Muslim hands forever. If not, then the Muslims will wage a Jihad against the "infidels". Sound familiar? That's what's happening with Israel.
PS: You're country's got a major problem with AntiSemitism. Just because you and other countries have a guilty conscious for letting the Jews die in the Holocaust, doesn't mean that you can call the Israelis "Nazis", thereby justifiying the demonization of the Jews.

I saw a programme about a Palestinian and Jewish school recently. What depressed me was the entrenched views of the kids. Neither side saw the other side as even remotely human. It's almost inevitable that when the Israeli kids join the army a few years later, that they will murder (yes, murder) other kids without a flicker of remorse. Equally depressing is the fact that Palestinian kids would do the same when they become young adults.

Israeli actions do not constitute terrorism because terrorism is the weapon of the weak, and obviously Israel is in the postion of strength. Why do people not realize that Israel is actually very patient and restrained in regards to the Palestinian issue. Their military is more than capable of eradicating the whole Palestinian race, yet they allow them to live. That demonstrates that they do desire to live peacefully with Palestinians. However, the sad fact is that it is the innocent that suffer the most from war, and those Palestinian civilians caught in the crossfire of this conflict are just an example of the cruel realities of war. Maybe someday they will have relief when their fellow Palestinians STOP STOKING THE FIRE.

The anti-discrimination laws in the UK give special status to Jews (and Sikhs) that makes it very difficult to criticise the Jewish organisations that support Israel. Add to his the ADL and the Board of Deputies that monitor and take action against those who dare to make a remark that could be interpreted as anti-Semitic and opposition to the supporters of Israel is pretty near silenced.
When the UK joined the US in the invasion of Iraq on the pretext of a UN resolution, I do not recall anyone in Parliament suggesting that on the same basis, we should be invading Israel.

Its their way of life and sometimes the way that they interpret their religion. Faith can give us the strength to do anything, some people who are ignorant or uneducated to do good or make a step towards a better future for our families. They honestly believe that the way forward is by force & murdering innocents. There is no hope for people like this.

Because no one has ever punished Israel for their crimes...So some how they think they are above the law...
just look what they did this summer in Lebanon:they killed over 1000 persons and destroyed the entire infrastructure of Lebanon...
And look what they are doing for a few weeks now in Gaza.They killed over 300 persons,more than half civilians.No one is accusing them of anything...
There is nothing justified in Israel's actions.They say they are acting in self defense...Lately no one has attacked Israel,yet Israel keeps "defending itself"...
