No. You don't register children. But you can have them placed in their father's name if this is who you are marrying. If you were smart, you would have given them their fathers name at birth and you wouldn't be asking this question now. If you don't "re-register" them, nothing bad will happened. They just won't have the same last name.

Dear Schmushe:

You did not tell us the name of the town and country
you live in. Customs and Laws vary from place to
place. However, here in the USA you do not have to
re-register your children born out of wedlock when
you get married. The word you use, "register" is
unfamiliar to me. Here in the USA children are issued
a "Birth Certificate" when they are born regardless of
what the marital situation was, or might haved been.

I would suggest that you re-enter your question in a few
days with the Question starting off:

Attention Residents of Indonesia: In new marriage,
what papers need to be filed regarding previous
out of wedlock children?

I used country of Indonesia...change that to the name
of your country.

In the USA, sometimes the husband will like the boy
or girl born out of wedlock so much that he wishes to
make a claim on him "as if he were his own child."
Here, that is called adoption. When the correct papers
are filed with the court via a lawyer, the child becomes
the same as naturally born children to the husband and wife - equal status. I do not know if adoption is a normal
process in your country, or what the process might be
there to get it done.

Regards,
Zah
