for sure jump out at you fear -The Grudge, and Darkness Falls , and actually War Of Worlds kept you on the edge of your seat( even though i can't stand little boy tom) The first 2 Halloweens, and the first 3 Friday The 13's. For sheer gore " The Devils Rejects" because they killed just for the fun of it.

This movie, either people loved it or hated it. The Blair Witch Project, I really liked it, although it showed no blood guts or gore, it was what it DIDN'T show that really creeped me out! It leaves alot to your own imagination.
And I love the scary movies that startle me and make me jump & scream.
