Try some of the schools or colleges in your area.....My dad just purchased a student flute from a school for around $50 i think or close to that and found out its worth around $200. Hope this helps

school orchestras/ bands will often have used instruments. there are also quite good used instrument shops in some places. im sure you can find a place on the internet that sells saxs. go looking at local bargains/ garage sales/ nearly new sales. perhaps yamaha has nearly new instrument deals. i think they do. and besides, yamaha is really reliable. my clarinet and my brother's cornet are awesome. good luck on your search.
