It can use Blu-Ray, but it has a brand new state of the art, multi-million dollar, years in development anti-piracy feature. So it should be at least a week or two after release before someone has found a way around it.

there will be no way around it, at least for a long time. anyways if they follow MS's pattern with the 360, they will just ban your PS3 from going online. ever.
