The most essential thing is to change the attitude of the players and their approach to the game. What is required is that each and every player should play all the match with dedication, committment and urge to win. They should keep aside their personal gain/interest and should dedicate fully and play to win.
Once all the players adapt this essential ingredient, things will improve automatically and we can see a sea of change in the fortune of Indian team's performance.

BAN the cricketer from doing ads, use more planning in selecting teams, make a new captain other than dravid (he's a gd player not a gd captain), Kick out or show the door to poor performance players, Change coach. Do study on opposite teams' strategies, so that they don't end up like children who didn't study the whole year and went to attend their exams :| And, per match salary MUST be decreased. The players even if they don't perform well try to just play, cuz they know they're gonna be heavily paid whether they win or lose :\ That's all I will 'say' as being humble> if I were in control as a cricket fan, I would kick sachin, make Sehwag sit for some months and send chappel back.... The players who don't perform now must SIT and sharpen their skills, just like Ganguly did a comeback. And, new players should get space to fit in imo.

Look, the fact remains India does not have the bowling to win the world cup.
Australia can compete with India's batting lineup, but easily can outbowl it.
Its hardly encourging for Sehwag and company to know they have to score 300+ just to compete with the best teams in the world.
What India should think about is joining forces with NZ (where I come from). Because we sure don't have the batting - can India spare some guys out if its 'D' team??
With Sehwag, Dravid, Kaif & Co. from India, and Bond, a resurgment Mills, Vettori, Oram and young Patel.
Now that is a side that can take it to Australia.
India need to create and work on a system that encourages pace bowlers. It needs to work on them, and create some guys who can really do the job. It looks like they might be getting some results with Pathan and co, but not enough.

this question around to all Indian cricket lovers
i think first biased board should not be biased they should select the right player on right time e.g when the player pick on their form they should given chance second thing the payment system player should pay according to their performance and the most important thing to follow the rotation policy properly .and indian think tank should give a guide line to players and coach and should compelled the player and coach to follow the guide of indian cricket board. indian board should look for the junior player properly and set up proper academy for the junior cricketer

All the players of our team are not using their full talents.......i hope it is time for us to stand up for the improvement of our team by practicing well in the bowling department.....
I dont think we have match winning bowlers in our team....ofcourse our batting department is also sliding down....their mental stength must improve along with their talents....Dravid & GregChappell must take the full responsibilty in improving the performance of our team.
World cup is approaching in the near future, so our boys must realise the situation and start focusing their talent in the right path under a good coach....
I know 1 billion people r really very very disappointed by the performance of our team in their own soil......ok,anyway..past is past.....
So let us hope for the best performance of our team in the forecoming matches.........

The Indian team lacks killer instinct, which the other teams like the Aussies have. They need to possess the same.
Each player must play for the team, and not for individual performance only. i.e. if a batsman is on 99, he should not be entirely bothered about his century, and play timidly.

Really it is sad part of our team. Nearly we are having 1 billion population but we couldn't identify efficient 11 players.
To improve our team first strict order should be imposed that cricketers should not appear for commercial ads. They should be payed by their performance. Political interference should not be there while team is selected.

improvements should be made at domestic level.corrupt members of the board should be removed i don't know WHY POLITICS is involved with BCCI.indian cricket is surrounded with excess of corruption and unwanted attention.i think now we shouldn't think about world cup cause it will take time.indian cricket board should make changes within their own members.players who don't perform well should be given time for practising.
