What is the name of a tiny fish that holds itself tightly on rocks so as not to be washed away by the flowing water.

a star fish does that, with its suckers at the bottom of its star shaped arms. it clings on the rocks or stone beds near the sea shore so that it remains in water and not get washed out on the beach.

a jellyfish, octopus and sea anemone also do the same!!

it is called a hillstream loach. I think they hold on with their fins,They are pretty small and cute.You could search Yahoo if its the right fish.

Its called a ' Mudskipper' sounds stupid but thats the name of the fish your chasing.

Either a loach or a pleco(sp?). Plecos are big and little so I think you might be looking for a loach.(I think that's what it's called)
