I had to call into my wife's work place before. I told them the truth.

"Hey Feather won't be in today. Yeah, I got to take her to the emergency room. She fell down on the concrete and mushed herself up pretty good. (A little laughter) Yeah thats why they call her Feather!

True Story!

Well, if she is sick say, ~Hi ( enter her name ) won't be in for work because she isn't feeling well.~ If you have to answer what is wrong with her?
depending on why just tell them she is having trouble holding anything down.
Good luck.

Nope I never have, but then again the guys I have dated either owned the company, or they had a strict policy that ONLY the Employee could call in for themselves. :)

No...Just tell them she is throwing up and want be coming in today. That way that gives an excuse why she didn't call in. Can't talk and throw up at the same time...

You don't want to be sexist, but you are.
Ever heard of gay people?
And I don,t call for him:he can do his own bidding.
This is ridiculous behavior
