Well since you have had your shower and by now your tea...go for it, be a alcoholic. I won't hold it against you. :-)

As Alan Jackson (featuring Jimmy Buffet) once sang:
It's five o'clock somewhere.
There really is nothing better than a G&T is there. The plink of the ice into the glass, the splash and delicate aroma of the gin going in and crackling over the ice. The fizz and bubbles coming up your nose of the tonic water. The lovely smell on your fingers as you put the lemon slice into the mix and sip and enjoy.
I think the colonials in India used to drink it all day because the quinine in the tonic water used to keep the malaria at bay.

Maybe 8.30 is a little early, 10 am would be better.
How about Tea and Toast. Food of the Gods.

As W.C. Fields said "There's nothing wrong with a little pick me up early in the morning - to tied me over until my lunch martinis."

You'll get the negative reply from:
An alcoholic is someone you don't like who drinks as much as you do.

Not at all, but don't let that nosy neighbour accross the street see you. She's been looking for something to criticise you about for weeks.

Way too early, don't do it, have a nice cuppa and a biscuit instead.
