I have an antic gold necklace that I would like to sell, but all the everyday jewelery shops say that they will only give me scrap value for it and to take it to an antic jewelers!

Does anyone know where I will find an antic jewelers?
I would need one preferebly in the London area or Essex!

You have to sell it to some very well to do people and they only can pay you some thing fairly. You can contact some antic items dealer or give a small advertisement in the news papers and you will get some response.

take it to a jewellery shop and characteristic it praised is it a 10k 14k 18k 24k? organic or basically gold plated? yellow or white gold? thickness of the necklace? sell to shop, or ebay, craigslist pawn shop yet u'll take a lose

Don't consider high street jewellers, they're clueless. Some independent second-hand jewellery shops can be good, usually Jewish owned businesses (up our way anyway) and they are very knowledgeable and give a good fair price....

I would try eBay........on Ur advertisement 4 it put everything u no about the necklace that u no and sell it on eBay...eBay is a wold wide store 4 everything. You should b able 2 sell it on there.

I know there is one in Marlow. On the main shopping street. The shop frontage is Black and Gold, but I can't remember the name of the shop. I'll update this if I can remember.

Research, Research, Research....Do not give into believing that it's scrap and do not give up hope that there's no one out there who will give you the worth of the necklace..

You might try eBay. I've sold some antique camera equipment on there and done quite well.

Ebay..u'll get more than it's value..there r ppl out there who know the value & are willing to pay it

what kind of antics is your necklace up to? Is this why you want to get rid of it? Does it come alive at night and try to strangle you?
