I never send them cause it's a waste of money and time and I never get complaints.

No..I send them after I take the time to fill them out. Go ahead and send them. People do love getting cards. There are always a few that don't return a card, but it's the thought that counts.

Yes, I do the same thing every year, but I will do it again this year too. Next year will be different as I'm sending out Christmas Notices and will track them down to see who responds.

i'm not religious and i still send christmas cards to a few of my friends and relatives.
Let me tell you- i was going to stop sending them too. However, about 5 of the people i normally sent them to were genuinely upset when i did not send them one- they don't always send me one by the way.
it must be the idea- that somebody out there is thinking of them. people go through all sorts of problems in their life- a cheery greeting is never going to ruin anyone's day. Keep sending them and choose a charity close to your heart or one that gives most of the money to charity.

i hate christmas and if people send me a card i throw it away im not wasting money on bits of paper that gets stuck to someones wall and then thrown away id rather spend the money on something else also it drives me mad when you get a card of someone you havent heard from all year and they only bother at christmas and they only do it to get more cards back.
a mate of mine has just paid £30 for 18 cards its madness!!!!
If i get any cards this year i might send them back to the people who sent them for next year just cross the names out

I don't bother with Christmas cards. I only get things for my kids. Christmas is just another day to me. It is a day for my special little ones and they are what really gives me the spirit of Christmas, not a card.

there's always some that never reach the person they are intended cos i'm too lazy to go out of my way and post them!
last year at work we didn't do christmas cards, we all put money we'd normally spend on them in a collection and bought "gifts" for poorer countries e.g. a toilet, a well etc through a charity organisation. i think that was a better use of the money we spent on the cards and it gave us all a nice fuzzy glow doing something nice!

I like shopping for handmade cards on eBay instead of those boxed cards because people appreciate and cherish handmade cards more. I'm pretty good at writing them and sending them on time before christmas.

I write and send them out the same day, generally in the middle of December.
