I wash mine every month and the pillow cases weekly. Since the human head is so heavy, I found that replacing pillows every six months will usually benifit your neck and back when you get the proper support you will not get with an old saliva stained pillow.

Feather down pillows can be washed in the washing machine with Woolmix then tumble dry with some clean tennis balls. Know this sounds odd but it makes sure the feathers are thoroughly spread and it wont come out all wonky. Nothing worse than an uneven lumpy pillow. Otherwise just sponge over it with cleaning stuff.

Most people assume pillows don't need washing because they're
covered with a pillowcase. Top load washers make it difficult to wash in
the machine(throws off balance, difficult to put in /take out). The average
pillow lasts about 5 years, depending upon your sleep habits.
Since we have a top load we wash pillows about once a year when we
take our very big stuff to the laundromat.

All of our pillows get washed a minimum of once a month same with blankets. The sheets and pillow cases are washed every week to two weeks (worse case scenario).

I do wash my pillow.
Washing the whole pillow is sometimes when I have free time and go to the laundry to wash all blanket, teddy bears, all pillows.
But everytime I wash my clothes at home, I remove the pillow case and wash it, then put it back to the pillow.

that's why you buy this thing called a PILLOW PROTECTOR, so you don't have to wash your pillow, you wash the pillow protector and of course pillowcase

you should wash them once a week, and you should wash your mattress cover every 2 weeks

you're nasty

and btw some pillow protectors are water proof, and bedmite proof, but you can still wash your pillow if you choose - ducks get wet

I wash the covers on my pillows weekly. Once a month I vacuum the pillow and then fluff it in the dryer on low heat. I replace all pillows every 2 years.

You can wash your pillow, what's wrong with that? You can hang them too!!!! Who said that pillows are not allowed to be washed?

First, you must understood that pillows can be dried because they are made up of cotton. They easily absorbed water and easily be removed.

Just hang them up after you washed them.

Down pillows can be washed. In between washes it is good to sun them to remove odour.
