Thank you for having a caring attitude about your country; this attitude will serve you and your country well.

I recommend you assess your talents, and try to "brighten up the corner where you are." That is, fix something you are capable of fixing. You don't have to save the entire nation; no one person can. But you can make it incrementally better by making some small part of it better.

Somewhere in the area where you live, there are people or organizations which need your time, labor, and care. Perhaps there's a food bank, soup kitchen, nursing home, hospital, or womens' shelter which can use just a little of your time to make its clients' lives better (and this will make your life better in turn).

Assess your talents, assess the volunteering opportunities in your community, and go for it. Thank you for caring.

What do you consider "helping" your country?

There are always volunteer organizations that are pleading for volunteers. Pick any one that appeals to you. The two most well known are "Red Cross" and "United Way".

If you are not interested in going through an "official" organization, volunteer at your local elementary school. Children always need help with reading or math (or whatever), and sometimes they are more comfortable around someone your age than they are around an adult.
