I dated girls, some internet aquaintences and some from real life. Initially I didn't know if they were available or not, but always assumed they were and went for them. I never cared for asking them, as I thought they would let me know if and when they are taken.
Out of 5, all of them turned out either with boyfriends or married. Worst part was in all the events I found out about the status after getting serious with them. Since, I was looking for serous girl friend they all turned out to be hurtful events. Now, am happily going out with by current girl friend for 5 years+.
What I don't understand is why wouldn't any women date a guy if they are already have a boy friend / husband? Even more puzzling thing is, why all the 5 relationships turn sour on "me"? What did I do wrong, that I attracted such situation?

Some women aren't satisfied at home with their husband. Some need to stray cuz they think they can find something better. u must have made them feel wonderful. Many men cheat on their wives too. maybe they wanted revenge on their husband. Stuff can't be explained exactly to detail. Different in every case. Good luck in the relationship you're in now.

You should stop blaming yourself and move on. Hate it or not, love is a game neither wins. You have to lose, but everytime you do, you gain more than what you have lost. As for the taken girls, I'm pretty sure those girls should have their own mindset on what to do and what NOT to do. They're taken, ergo, they should not have fooled around.
You are not 'attracted' to such situations, rather, these 'situations' gravitate to you. You can always play it safe by asking her to be honest and tell the truth. Granted, most do not give it away just like that, but you have to be insistent. After all, if their boyfriends do the same to them, they won't like it either.
Women do not intentionally look for a spare tyre - rather like men, they snoop around, maybe for secret thrills. I don't know, but when you look it deep down, men and women are fundamentally the same. We act on desires and instincts.
So I take it you were the one they blamed? You must be one heck of a man.
In the end, honesty comes first in everything, especially a relationship which could end up permanently. Keep honesty in everything, and you may keep the relationship.

when u meet someone of the opposite sex the first thing to ask is if they are attached because ur friendship (even if it's platonic) cld step on their partner's toes. When they tell u they have a man you can then discuss how well rooted the relationship is. If its shaky maybe you cld be the next love of her life. Also u cld be the guy on the rebound. If the relationship is good: don't be a home wrecker. Either way relationships are a risk of ur feelings : some work out some don't. Just get the essential facts first so u don't get beat up or used.

I guess that's because you should first ask these women whether they are single or not. If they lie to you and then you'll know immediately that they are not worth it. I once went out with a young woman who never told me about her boyfriend and at the same time she seemed very interested in me. After sometime her boyfriend confronted me and made as if everything was my fault. I then argued with him and told him to act more mature. I also learnt that I should always find out whether a girl is single before going out with her and the easiest way to do this is to ask.

Perhaps you're looking at the wrong places. A good place to look for a nice girl is in church.
Although the main reason should be prayer, there is no harm in asking God for a wife.
Ask around in church for a nice girl, i'm sure some people may help.

Dude, you have to learn to let go! This happened 5 years ago? You're happily with someone now, so who cares?? If it really bothers you, chalk it up to the "learning curve" of life, and leave it at that!
Good Luck!
Aloha!!

what you did wrong was not asking their status before getting serious with them.
