if you are judging by guitar proficiency only and not the person themselves, I would say theres alot of shredders out there...dime a dozen really...heck the kid down the street can shred...but if your looking for substance...someone with the guts to be different..I would say Brian Adams.....there's a guy who you can probably actually have half a real conversation with...good songs, good writing, good playing...good show in creative venues like sub tropical water parks!...I thoroughly enjoyed his show...clean cut guy...class act...you can't really say that for anyone in music today...real heart felt shtuff...I think it's about more than shredability...although quite impressive, artistry is something more to be admired..
