Since i am not a native english speaker, i want to make sure that if this term "Orientation Meeting" is a suitable one. i am referring to a meeting held for a group of contest jury members on their arrival, right before the contest begins. Many thanks for the help.

Yes, the term 'Orientation Meeting' is acceptable to native speakers of English.

The word orient can be used as an adjective or noun.

the act or action "to orient", means to set or adjust one's direction, ideas, purpose, in relation to other beings, ideas, articles, objects, etc

If you are holding a meeting for the purpose of helping the participants adjust their expectations and perceptions, in relation to the contest rules and regulations............. then YES! that is a correct use of the terminology.

Congratulations to you, for taking the extra time to ensure your own accuracy in language usage.

I am a native English speaker, and am holding an orientation meeting for a group in just a couple of weeks. As suggested earlier, we do have it listed as simply "orientation", but that was due to space, not proper word usage. Orientation Meeting is just fine, and don't be discouraged by the first answer. It was funny for a native speaker, but rude to someone not necessarily completely comfortable with the language.

Orientation Meeting is correct, but "Meeting" is not necessary.
If you posted only "Orientation" in the schedule, that implies
that someone will lead the participants through a tour of the proceedings . Someone will orient them as to what will be expected from them.
Good luck!

"Orientation meeting" refers to a meeting where those in attendance forsake their original ethnicities and become Oriental for the whole meeting. The Liberals just added it to the Elementary School curriculum in San Francisco.
