Recently my touchpad stopped functioning all of a sudden. When i tried check in my device manager, there is no device which says "Pointing devices" which was suposed to be there!!! Re-installation of drivers was also done but no use. Its jus doesnt appear in the list nor it works. What do i do????

get a usb mouse.

Most Acer laptops have their drivers on the hard drive, is there and eRecovery program on your desktop? if there is then you just have to open it and find the drivers. If you uninstalled, not to worry, as long as you still have the recovery disk. And even If you don't have that you can search for drivers online.

what function has stopped working? the only element which you're able to do if the touch pad has long gone is the two replace it, or purchase a exterior mouse. if it incredibly is the press function, you are able to re-enable it by capacity of genuine clicking on the touch pad image next to the clock on the backside genuine.
