from the notebook to avoid shortening the life of the battery. Is there any logic that non-stop charging of the battery ( with battery attached to the notebook at all time ) will damage/shorten the life span of battery ?

no u can use the ac power supply it wont hurt it cause that's how u recharge the battery so don't worry about it just use it like that

nope... never came across anything of the sort!!! ive been using laptops for years now. batteries die out eventually and this has nothing to do with this idiotic procedure this person has told you about. infact removing the battery may hurt the system.

also!! how the hell will you recharge the batteries if u dont keep them inside while the mains power is connected??

and if u really want to take care of your batteries run them down every once i n a while. once a month almost drain your battery till the computer warns you to shut down or hibernate or standy or whatever...... this should happen at 3 to 5 percent of the total battery power. immediately plug in the power. this process will keep ur lithium ion batteries happy!

go back and tell the vendor that his doesn't know what he is talking about. how are you to recharge the battery.
Does the vendor tell you that you cannot use the laptop if your charging.
Vendor = Idiot
