If however you choose to download a free antivirus program that is good try eh home edition for AVG at http://www.grisoft.com... or ANtiVir from http://www.free-av.com ..... I wouldnt suggest an online scanning tho coz its vague and inaccurate.. get a free antivirus that is as good as teh paid versions .. AVG is excellent. :)

If you have a friend with an antivirus CD, I think you can boot your computer with their disk. If you're just looking for free, CNet's dowload.com has a ton of stuff. The site includes user reviews and sometimes editor reviews.
