well i used to ALWAYS have those type of dreams you know the ones that you realize you are dreaming and find that you can control what goes on in them, it was so fun. I hardly get those any more. But I do often have those 'false' awakening dreams that I think I wake up but in fact im still dreaming. I hate those because Im usually having a nightmare when i have those and it just scares me more when i 'think' im awake and scary things keep on happening! then i feel stupid when i wake up and kind of annoyed sometimes, specially if i was really scared

Yes, I have very vivid and weird dreams, they sometimes feature people I haven't seen for years and have forgotten about. They are not usually unpleasant, but I will go straight back into it if I am disturbed or wake up to go to the loo or something, very weird.

Yes, all of this. Naturally, in periods of emotional anxiety, I dream more. I don't think there's anything bad about it as long as it is not mainly nightmares. Isn't it better to have images in colour, than simply black-and-white:)? I've heard this happens to people with an artistic gift - just heard so, not sure.

unfortunately. I had to be brought out a dream like that yesterday (I'm a day sleeper) my husband walked in to the bedroom to find me breathing abnormally and tears running down my face. I was having a really bad flashback/dream of my stepdad molesting me. It always takes me awhile once I'm awake to realize that it was just a bad dream and he's not hurting me anymore. I have had these dreams for 27 years, they f*cken suck!
