on a system? probably only sims or harvest moon or animal crossing - but none of these can properly be called an rpg, though harvest moon might fit some definitions
in an rpg, as they are usually about saving the world, there will usually be lots of killing.
in real life, the more you do something, the more natural that something comes to you. that is, if i spend all day typing, i'll get quite experienced at it. i'll be better at it than someone that just started learning how yesterday.
since you usually have to kill whatever is trying to destroy the world, you have to get good at killing.
most rpg characters are murderers and thieves. steal is not only a common move in rpgs, but a highly desired move.
pokemon is actually a good rpg, there is no killing (pokemon only faint) and there are no swords, castles, or any of that.

if you mean online games, i can't help you, sorry

Only thing I can think of is Harvest Moon. There are different Harvest Moon games for different platforms.
Can't think of any other RPGs like that

I don't know--what's a good racing game that doesn't have cool vehicles or a lot of tracks or speed crap?

"Earthbound" for Super Nindendo. It was unique when it was released (over 10 years ago) and it still is!
Enjoy!
