we have been dating since june and all summer i have worn flip flops...now its time for cold weather and i am clueless...before it was the higher the heel the better b/c i have only dated guys taller then me so it never mattered...any ideas on cute styles with no heels? (i dont like those slipper shoes with the sequence on the toe if that is your suggestion) HELP!!!

Flat boots are hot ! and they can be dressed up or down
you can wear them ontop of skinny leg jeans. under a pretty dress or however u want ! a nice pair of flats are cute like ballet flats ;) goodluck

I know how you feel. My husband is 5'6" and I'm 5'11" :o) Before him, I only ever dated guys taller than me but I met him and all those silly stereotypes go away. You know, it used to bother us in the beginning but now, not so much. I wear heels all the time (not stilettos-I'm too tall for those anyway- but maybe 2-3 inches) with him. There are not many cute shoes for winter without heels. Maybe you can look for a close-toed shoe with just a kitten heel (you know, that really skinny heel but super short heel- it gives the illusion of a high heel but it isn't). Let me look for an example and I'll post it for you. Be right back :o)
*Okay... here are some examples of the short kitten heel I mentioned. They really don't add much height. Trust me...

The new flats out now are very cute! They have very nice flat suede boots as well. They are kind of slouchy in style and look great with dresses and tights or over skinny jeans.

Ha I just bought some cute black winter boots because my boyfriend is as tall as me and I didn't wanna tower him either. They don't look like those Uggs really but they are flat heeled. You can wear them with pants OR skirts!

you can get the short-heeled stilettos, aka stub heel. Those are sexy, feminine, and they wont make you too much taller.
Here are some examples of footware that looks sexy, but is not high heeled.

I was going to suggest you wearing Docs, but it sounds like it may not be your style... give them a try, they're very comfy and go well under jeans, pants etc.

wear something flat and cute but more importantly, have him go out and buy a pair of cool chunky soled boots....he needs to help out a little. (maybe you could poof his hair up with some gel too LOL)
