No Gah I am not desperate and the last thing i want is a barfly plus I work alot of hours during the week but it would be nice to have a great friend on my days off

I say go for it, just be careful who you meet and when meeting new people arrange to meet up in a public place so you can suss them out and make sure they arent dodgy.
On the positive side, I met my husband on line and he is fabulous :)

you cannot be that ugly that you would need this. Honestly are you that desperate? If you are then just go sit in a bar until bar time. I garantee that some drunk guy will want to take you home. It is the same kind of chances.

No. You get to meet jerks every day for free, why go on-line and pay to meet the same jerks? I've got girlfriends who have the same experiences.

I met my boyfriend that way. It's a good tool when you are super busy or aren't in areas to meet people. Just be careful. :) Good luck!
