Well, considering the past history of newscasters hanging on for dear life to palm trees during hurricanes and getting into the thick of things in other disasters, I would guess a few would "go down with the ship"!

No. They'd just be taking news feeds from the NY Times and Washington Post. All of which were written in advance.
And yes, women and minorities would be hardest hit.

Total chaos and CNN would be right there until the very end. They even create stories if there are none to report.

of course they would! what if things didn't turn out as expected? if the world DIDN'T end up ending then think of all the intense drama and all the reruns we'd have from the ones who were on top of it all...REPORTING.
