I love his poetry and short stories. Has anyone ever read "Suicide's Note?" What is your interpretation of it?

Wow, I love Langston Hughes, but I had never read that poem before your post. It's eerie but good.

I think it's just about the feeling of being drawn to suicide, how it can seem to be calling you at times. It's also a good oversimplification that shows how when suicide is on your mind, you're reduced to one simple single thought and all of the other complications and complexities that surround suicide sort of go out the window.

I haven't read "The Suicide Note" but I read a beautiful poem by him called "Havana Dreams". Highly recommended.

I like some of his work, especially "Theme for English B," "Dream Deferred," and "The ***** speaks of Rivers."

I haven't read "Suicide's Note." I'll check it out though.

Langston is purely beautiful. He is so lyrical and jazzy at the same time. I would love to find my book of his and browse through it right now! Thanks for reminding me of a beautiful poet!
