Me and 18 friends are going to vegas for the nba all-star game in february. For most of us, it's our first time. I've read some reviews on the net but first hand experiences, good or bad, would be appreciated. Thanks.

I guess that all depends on what you mean by "best"....

The best value is the Orleans, the rooms are nice, large(about 50% larger than most hotel rooms) and a bargain...Nice pool, one of the best buffets, very nice selection of restaurants, best liquor store I have found in LV. Orleans will price match any online rate you find...http://www.orleanscasino.com - best kept secret in LV..

My favorite hotel is, Caesars Palace, love their Palace Tower rooms, I ask for one which overlooks the pool...I hate shopping, but can spend hours in the Forum Shops...

Second on my list "of money is no object" hotel would be the Venetian...This place is spectacular...

A couple more that I like:
Luxor-the tower rooms are larger and new, but where else could you spend the night in an actual pyramid...The pyramid spa rooms are really cool, the jacuzzi is built up into the corner of the room, awesome view...

Paris-the rooms that overlook the Fountains of Bellagio

The Las Vegas Hilton-The Spacequest Casino is really cool, love the mens room(if you can get the women out of there LOL) if you're a Star Trek fan you have to see this one...easy to get to the Thomas & Mack center...

If you're thinking about staying downtown, try Main Street Station. If your group is a gambling bunch, MSS is a great place to play..They take care of players as well as anyone in LV, and have a section of the Berlin Wall in the mens room...

Sam's Town on the Boulder Highway is a nice place to stay, their indoor park, called Mystic Falls is a great place to relax and have a cup of coffee/adult beverage...

Bellagio and Wynn are great places but are not worth the price IMHO...

you might check out MGM and Mandalay Bay...There are things I like about each...

You have so many choices, it really all depends on the amenities you're looking for and the price you're willing/want to pay...this is the best site for "all around" info on LV>gambling>hotels>shows>bargains>etc! They review/rate/give times/prices/and links...

There are many great hotels, and it really boils down to what you want to pay and what you like. I recommend looking at the reviews on Expedia.com. Expedia only accept reviews from people that they have sent to the hotel. In other words if I book a trip to Vegas with Expedia, they will only allow me to review the specific hotel they know I stayed at. This makes the reviews pretty good as far as I am concerned.

Without knowing your budget and your age group it is hard to recommend. Personally I would strongly advise you to avoid the Luxor, Rio and Aladdin. Consider MGM, TI, Paris, Mandalay Bay. If you have lots of money and want to spend it consider Bellagio, Wynn or Venetian. If you are all in your 20s, consider Palms.

Well thats a hard to answer i guess it all depends on your budget , and what you want to do .If money is not an issue than i would suggest anyone of the bigger hotels like Venetian, Bellagio, Wynn.,Mirage, TI beacuse they are really nice and the customer service is really good ..If you want a nice room thats a little cheaper i like the Rio's suite and its really big and has a fantastik view or you can even try the Palms and thats pretty cool.If youre going to the NBA game and want to stay a little closer to Thomas and Mack you might want to stay at MGM Monte Carlo or Mandalay Bay which i think is pretty cool Well i hope that helped

The best hotel? If I dont miss anything its the venetian, top class but expensive. Other good hotels are: Mandaly bay, Paris, Luxor, Flamingo (The hotell I stayed on), Las vegas hilton (with star trek experience), MGM, New york New york and RIO (A short distance off strip). Browse the web and choise your favourite! Johan

Many of the hotels are "best" in different categories, like rooms, dining, casino, environment, clubs, pool, etc. You first need to determine what factors are important to you and then pick a hotel that meets it. You should try to stay close to the center of the Strip, so that will eliminate a lot of hotels and just give you a smaller group of choices. Hi, last may, we were at New York-New York Las Vegas.
I consider we had a very good price cause the rooms are high quality, very modern and very clean. We were in the Chrysler Building.
In the hotel, there's so many restaurants for many budgets. We ate at a chic Italian Restaurant and took breakfast at a really cool one, America I think. Look out for the ceiling there. Absolutely amazing. We reserved from Expedia and it was very easy to check in and out. I would go back there anytime. People there were nice with us, considering that english is not my primary language. Plus: many activities to do.

most of the hotels are great, they have lots of competition with each other to outdo the other.
had family go to excalibur, they had a great time, new york-new york is supposed to be good, and isn't there a pirate ship??? that would be fun, especially if "captain jack" was there!!! rrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!
talk to a travel agent. i wouldn't use the online booking services like travelocity or expedia, though. they charge you more than if you book directly through the hotel. a travel agent can give you more details so you can make the best choice to suit your trip.
there's so many, and they are ALL really first class. have fun

Here is what I do. Go to every lodge's internet web site. When you employ the reservations hyperlink you're going to commonly see a situation to go into your knowledge comparable to dates and quantity of men and women and so on. You may also see a field to fill in PROMO CODE. Fill in and continue to peer what the rate is without the promo code. Now pass to the hyperlink underneath and notice if you'll be able to uncover a promo code for that lodge that's in final result at the moment (no longer expired). The promo code is in daring black letters. Copy it and go back to the lodge internet web site. Nowo return and verify the premiums however this time paste the Code in first. If the code is legitimate you're going to see the financial savings in rate. Try all you favor till you're convinced. This is mostly the exceptional rate you'll be able to assume if you're no longer a consistent. Once you become a member of a slot membership or check in you're going to start to acquire presents to your electronic mail. Bed informed that low priced lodge premiums don't seem to be the one attention. If you may have a low priced room however your lodge isn't at the strip or isn't within the exceptional spots at the strip, you're going to must waste plenty of useful excursion time simply getting round. That is why the accommodations within the exceptional spots get the maximum premiums. The fine of all of the most important accommodations is mostly the equal. They variety from historic and sort of wilted just like the Tropicana to slight and excellent like Monte Carlo to luxurious like Bellagio. *
