Lately, I'm finding it hard to have focus on what I'm doing at work. No matter how I try to concentrate on what I currently do, my mind seem to direct itself to something else, such as the past, or other things. When I try to begin a task that requires deep thought or analysis, my mind seem to withhold from it, & seem to choose to be in "relax" mode.

You think it's a job burn out? Any advice?

ya, sounds like job burn out or just plained bored. How about this, take some time for yourself then take a hard look at your life and the direction its going.

once you do ask yourself are you doing what you want to do?

are you where you want to be?

once you figure that out, then next question becomes how do you get to where you want to be.

you seem to bring in to question other stuff also. do you have unanswered questions from your past in which you want resloved?

what are they?

will you be able to resolve them.

when you start to drift what is it that you think about?

are you day dreaming or are you pondering?

are you happy with your job?

if yes or no then why?

simply put, there are alot of things you need to ask youself, to get some clarification and a hold on what may be holding you in relax mode.

it could be simple or could be complicated but you need to be honest with yourself.

that is for sure.

later stranger.

Very possible. You could try taking a vacation, but if you are truly burned out it won't help much. Is it possible to take a leave of absence? During this time you can explore other possibilities and maybe even work part-time in another field to see if you like it.

Go on vacation, and also re-assess your current job and whether you're permanently bored with it.
