and after 6 years being away from him he now wants to come and join us in america. there's a twist to this because he had an affair with my best friend during that period of time and i was married too. but now divorced. he's still in the middle east right now so i am not really sure if they are still seeing each other or not. should i give it a chance?

The person who once disappointed you in your life, cant it do again. He looks habitual to have relationships with other women. You also married and got divorced again, what is this. Divorce rate is too high in US than Asia. why dont you understand the significance of family. To make a family we have to some times sacrifies some things for others.
However, I would suggest you to ananlyze if you can bear other woman involve with him then no problem to welcome him again in your life. Best of luck.

I see no harm in VISITING you both here. But there's no way to tell how you'll both really feel when you see each other. It could be wonderful...or it could be nothing at all. I believe you all need some time to get to know each other again.......even your child. I also believe you'll be able to better make that decision at some point later, and certainly not now.

It is really tough. You need to ask questions to yourself.. do you really need him?? do you have passionate feelings for him??do you still trust him?? do you still care about him??? do you think he is the man to settle down and to be a good husband to you and father to your kid?? Do you think there is another reason for him to come back to the USA???
I wish you luck...please first be sure what you need, how you feel, and what you think of him and then decide whether this will bring you happiness and peace and love.
