I tried to get contacts but was told I would need an eye exam first.
Is this true or are they just trying to get money out of me? Thanks

You definitely need an eye exam to make sure they will fit. I recommend Costco for contacts, they are pretty cheap for prescription ones and I would imagine they are for color as well.

The reason for the eye exam it's to decide if you need prescriptives or not. Also, they can measure the size of your pupil and the size and best type of contact lenses. Or, you can ask a friend to share with you a non-prescriptive order from an Optometrist and order from the Internet.

you need the exam to make sure they fit over your eye correctly. I wear contacts and no this is not a scam. Good luck cause they are awesome. I hope you get them.
