It is possible to get pregnant at any point in your cycle. Women do not always ovulate at the same time of the month; the egg can live for several days as can sperm once inside the woman's body. Because of this, at any point it is necessary to use protection if you do not wish to become pregnant. It is also possible to get pregnant from sex during your period, if you ovulate immediately after menstruation stops. It is unlikely (possible but unlikely) that you are pregnant from that encounter. However, you should protect yourself for the duration of this month, and if your next period is late you should test for pregnancy.

Hi there!!
Unless you are on birth control pills that prevent you from ovulating (when the egg comes down from the ovary and descends into the fallopian tube) you can get pregnant at any time during the month. If you're not regulated by medication, ovulation is possible on any given part of your cycle whether you're menstruating or not. It's hard to tell because every woman is different and we all ovulate at different times. Make sure that you're using at least 2 forms of contraception if you're not on the pill, for example a condom and spermicide, to prevent against unwanted pregnancy. Hope this helps, and be careful!!

You can get pregnant at any time during your cycle. You probably aren't pregnant if you got your period the day after you had sex. If you are worried wait 2-3 weeks and do the test. If you are pregnant it should show up by then.

Only during ovulation, approximately 14 days after the first day of your period. Sweetie, you need to consider getting on birth control. Planned Parenthood or your family physician can help you. If you are protected you will not have to worry about pregnancy. The pill will not protect you from sexually transmitted diseases. If you and he are not monogamous, a condom is recommended.
