Lord of the Flies is an allegorical novel by technique of Nobel Prize-triumphing author William Golding about a set of youthful boys who're stranded on a desert island and who might want to negotiate the social problems with cooperation and self-authorities. The 'beast' would represent propaganda and irrational fears, because it motives a panic and finally allies the lads round Jack. the actual shown actuality that there's no 'beast' means that it really is a representation of the evil in human nature. The Lord of the Flies and the 'beastie' represent the evil lurking interior of everyone's hearts, which, even as not corporeal, isn't any a lot less genuine. it may also be considered to be the religious idea of the island society, because it isn't considered yet its existence is not in any respect doubted, it really is credited to what can't be defined, and it really is given alternatives in an attempt to cajole it to spare the lives of the islanders

Yes. It's about how man's baser instincts for survival are hidden deep inside all of us. Read the book: it's a good read and doesn't take very long. Or if you're too lazy, rent the movie.( But it's not as good as the book)

Kids survive a plane wreck only to wash up on a deserted island and basically go crazy trying to kill each other before being found. If you want the longer version, the link goes to a full summary.

The quick, short answer is "human nature". By removing the boys from civilizing influences of school, parents, police, etc.; Golding allows them to revert to their "true" nature.
