Or what do you think if you're not an expert scientist and didn't see that special on the Discovery Channel a couple years ago where scientists make educated speculations as to what life would look like millions of years from now. Like a housecat, dog, cattle, etc.

Matthew, I looked and I only get Discovery and Animal Planet. Looks like I don't have Science Channel. Thank you very much though.

Evolution is not directional, you can't predict what stuff will look like in a million years. And domestic animals are operating in a different environment, where people are protecting them from predators and sometimes choosing who they mate with.

Hey, thanks for the giant squid info. The Science Channel is showing that giant squid special again on Nov. 4 at 1 p.m. it's called "Giant Squid: caught on camera" from 2005. Very cool animations and the high point of the show was the 30 foot tentacle flopping around on the ship's deck!

They'll look like what we want them to look like. Humans have screwed up evolution. As technology progresses we'll become weaker since the weak will be surviving.
I think domestic cattle will be headless and delicious.
Domestic pets, like cats and dogs will come in a variety of colours and styles since they'll be more accessory than companion

Evolution is true indeed.
Today domestic cattle can only understand our language, then, they will be able to speak it,the whole world (including all the animal kingdoms)will speak one or the other languages.Then, they will be able to express their feelings when their masters bully them over, or even respond to their orders.
Imagine your dog waking you up in the morning and saying 'why the hell dont you get up? You know I need to go out urgently...'
